The following persons were present: <br />ROLL CALL <br />Action Committee Members Present : Charles Young (Chair), Barbara DeFranco , Doug Payne , Franz <br /> <br />Weber, Janice Palma - Glennie, Kari Kimura, and Shane Palacat - Nelsen. <br />Action Committee M embers Absent - Excused: Hiram Rivera , and Shirley David (Vice - Chair) . <br />Staff Planners : Kamuela Plunkett and Heather Bartlett. <br />Members of the public : 13 <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: None. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: At the start of the meeting Committee Member Palacat - Nelsen offered <br /> to the Action Committee. <br /> " When the coffee blossom blooms, the runs " <br />[This reminds us to reflect upon environmental cycles which naturally bring abundance to <br />our community as we plan for our future .] <br />Chair Young, with the consent of the rest of the committee, reordered the items on the agenda to hear <br />the Ali'i Parkway update firs t. <br />1 . Communication No. 2019 - 01 Meeting Calendar : <br />Committee Members discussed the schedule and questioned why the March meeting was to be at <br />6pm rather than 2pm . The Committee agreed that if the Kona CDP Amendments are not ready to be <br />discussed on that date that they would like to have the meeting at 2pm . <br />PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS : One member of the public signed up to testify, she chose to <br />speak during agen da item 2 . <br />1. Janet Brit t , representing the Amy Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden , testified on agenda item <br />#2 Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Commission Presentation. She sought <br />to correct communication number 2019 - 03: List of Parcel Nominations submitted by Debbie <br />Hecht to state that the Amy Greenwell parcels are stil l seeking funding through PONC. <br />County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer Page 1 <br /> <br />
