CDP Planner, LeAna Gloor, provided a brief update on the General Plan Comprehensive <br />Update. Ms. Gloor stated that the Long Range Planning team has been steadily moving <br />forward on the comprehensive update and that staff is currently working on draft policy <br />language. She also stated that the Planning Department has been focused on the recent <br />emergency efforts for the volcanic eruption in Puna; so the General Plan Update is not moving <br />forward as quickly as it otherwise would be. <br />Chair Hoffman inquired if the recent occurrences with the volcanic eruption have altered the <br />CIP budget. Ms. Gloor responded that the Planning Department is not currently aware of any <br />changes made to the CIP budget in response to lava relief efforts. She stated that County <br />Council was currently considering the budget, and there would be more concrete answers <br />regarding CIP budgets after the Council has deliberated on the budget. <br />2. Ms. Gloor briefly went over the process of how to get items on the meeting agenda. She <br />stated that Action Committee Members as well as members of the public and community <br />groups are welcome to request items be added to meeting agendas. She stated that these <br />requests should be routed to the Action Committee Chair or to planning staff. Ms. Gloor also <br />stated that all agenda items must be directly related to priorities of the North Kohala CDP.
