This commission shall promote public <br />awareness, encourage and facilitate inter - agency training and <br />provide the impetus for preventive measures and education <br />directed to the community -at- large. <br />County of Hawaii, Hawaii County Charter Section 4 -4. <br />Ordinance 97 -111 dated August 29, 1997. <br />Mayor, no Council confirmation required. Tenure will be <br />co- terminus with the appointing Mayor. <br />Minimum nine (9), but not to exceed fifteen (15). <br />No specific requirement, however, county -wide representation <br />should be considered. <br />As required by FVAC by -laws. <br />Required for advisory board /commission members if requested. <br />Per Mayor's discretion. <br />Respected by the community as being community- minded and <br />oriented. Able to focus on the community needs as a whole <br />without catering to special or self- interest. <br />(All terms expire December 6, 2004.)
