HAWAII COUNTY COMMITTEE ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN <br />Purpose: To provide for a permanent and continuing countywide program on <br />behalf of women in the County of Hawaii. <br />Authority: Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 367-4. <br />Appointment: Mayor, no confirmation required. Normal four-year staggered terms. <br />Full Membership: Nine (9) members. <br />Ex -Officio Members: The County Corporation Counsel and the County representative of the <br />State Commission on the Status of Women. <br />Specific Representation: None required. <br />Requirements: Interest in and knowledge of matters relating to women. <br />Meetings: At least six (6) per year. <br />Called by Chair with at least seven (7) days' notice given. <br />Itemized agenda filed at County Clerk's Office at least six (6) days prior <br />to meeting. <br />Financial Disclosure <br />Reappointment: <br />Not required. <br />Per Mayor's discretion. <br />Qualities: Selected on the basis of their interest and knowledge of local conditions <br />and their ability to make contributions to the solution of problems <br />relating to the status of women within the County. <br />Current Members Brooke Derby, 12/31/2021 <br />Lee -Ann Heely, DM, 12/31/19 <br />Jewel L.
