COMMITTEE ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN <br />Purpose: To develop such information as the State Commission on the Status of <br />Women requires or as such committee deems advisable concerning the <br />status of women within the County of Hawaii. <br />Authority: Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 367-4. <br />Appointment: Mayor, no confirmation required. Normal four-year staggered terms. <br />Full Membership: No specific number. (Must be divisible by three.) <br />Ex -Officio Members: The county attorney or corporation counsel and the county <br />representative of the Commission on the Status of Women. <br />Specific Representation: None required. <br />Requirements: Interest in and knowledge of matters relating to women. <br />Meetings: At least four per year.
