<br />MAYOR’S COMMITTEE ON PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES <br /> <br /> <br />3/8/2018 <br /> <br />Purpose: To advise the Mayor and Office of Aging on all matters related to <br />persons with disabilities. As it’s primary goal, the committee shall <br />review and recommend action and providing guidelines to <br />improve the quality of life for people of the county with <br />Disabilities. <br /> <br />Authority: Hawaii County Charter, Section 4-4, <br /> <br />Appointment: Mayor, no confirmation required. Members are co-terminous <br />with the Mayor. <br /> <br />Full Membership: No specific number. <br /> <br />Specific Representation: None required. <br /> <br />Requirements: None. <br /> <br />Meetings: Minimum six per year. <br /> <br />Financial Disclosure: Not required. <br /> <br />Reappointment: Per Mayor’s discretion. <br /> <br />Qualities: Respected by the community as being community-minded and <br />oriented.
