She is the Executive Director and Founder of Paleaku Peace Gardens, a <br />non-profit resource center and is currently employed as the Manager and design <br />consultant for Indich Collection. <br />Ms. DeFranco attended the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and the Hawaii <br />Community College. She has resided in Hawaii for approximately 50 years and is <br />deeply committed to her community. She was a member of the Kona CDP action <br />committee for four years and served as chair for one of those years. She is a tireless <br />volunteer on various community organizations. <br />Ms. DeFranco states she is not a member of any political party. If confirmed, she will <br />serve a five- year term to end March 31, 2025. <br />Your continued favorable confirmation is requested.
