• .•,oJMtYosp��,, <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII . •_ �� �\ r. . <br /> STATE OF HAWAII <br /> •.o- T�J.. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 728 20 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF REAL <br /> PROPERTY FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII OFFICE OF THE PROSECUTING <br /> ATTORNEY <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other <br /> obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one <br /> fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney now requires a space more suitable to their <br /> needs and desires to lease approximately 3,328 square feet of a warehouse situated in Keaau, County <br /> and State of Hawai`i, from Milo Storage LLC ("Landlord"); and <br /> WHEREAS, Office of the Prosecuting Attorney desires to enter into a multi-year lease <br /> agreement is anticipated to commence on October 1, 2020, for a five-year term, with the option to <br /> extend the lease for two (2) additional five (5)year terms with Landlord; and <br /> WHEREAS, Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is requesting authorization for the Mayor to <br /> enter into a multi-year lease agreement with Landlord for warehouse space; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> Honorable Harry Kim, Mayor of the County of Hawaii, is hereby authorized to enter into a multi-year <br /> lease with Milo Storage LLC, for a five-year term with options as indicated above. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to <br /> cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the Lease. <br />
