No. 1061/Bill No. 193 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:03 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 193, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 193, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 1061 <br /> dated August 27, 2020, amends Ordinance No. 20-45, as amended, the Operating Budget for the <br /> County of Hawai`i for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2021. <br /> This bill appropriates revenue in the Federal—CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) <br /> COVID-19 account ($978,184); and appropriates the same to the following CDBG-CV2 accounts: Food <br /> Basket Emergency Food Distribution Equipment Acquisition; Boys and Girls Club of Big Island— <br /> Mobile Youth Outreach Services; Na Kahua Hale 0 Ulu Wini —Laundry and Utility Improvements; <br /> Project Vision Hawai`i — Mobile Health and Hygiene Service; and CDBG-CV Administration. Funds <br /> would be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. <br /> A motion to move Bill No. 193 to Council with a positive recommendation was made by Council <br /> Member Karen Eoff, and seconded by Council Member Rebecca Villegas. <br /> A motion to amend Bill No. 193 with the contents of Comm. 1061.1, dated September 8, 2020, was <br /> made by Council Member Susan L. K. Lee Loy, and seconded by Council Member Ashley L. Kierkiewicz. <br /> Said amendment reflects the exact dollar amount each entity will receive from the second round of funding, <br /> totaling $978,184.
