FATAL TRAFFIC CRASH FACTOR: ROADSIDE CRASHES <br />Roadside crashes are those in which a motor vehicle collides with a stationary object outside of <br />the travelway. It was found that 28% of all fatal traffic crashes between the years 2013-2018 <br />involved a roadside crash (see Figure 20). <br />FIGURE 20. However, observationally, with a relatively low number of <br />motorcycles on the road as compared to all other vehicle types, the percentage of motorcycles <br />(13%) involved in fatal traffic crashes is high. <br />FIGURE 21.
