Additional federally -derived funds in the amount of $15,280 are being <br />provided by the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation to fund services, training and <br />software to provide timely, accurate and accessible data between the Department of Transportation <br />and the Hawaii County Police Department. <br />Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br />additional funds into the Hawaii County Police's HCPD Data Grant account, bringing the total <br />appropriation to $72,280. <br />The Police Department requests that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be placed <br />on the October 21, 2020 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
