In general, the proposed amendments <br />are to: <br />• Amend Chapter 2, Article 40, Administration, Department of Environmental <br />Management: <br />• Sec. 2-204: Removes enforcement of Chapter 21 from Chapter 2 <br />• Sec. 2-205: Removes penalties of Chapter 21 from Chapter 2 <br />• Amend Chapter 21, Sewers: <br />• Chapter 21 renamed from "Sewers" to "Wastewater Management" <br />• Sections renumbered to use 3 -number system <br />• Moves the enforcement and penalties sections from Chapter 2 to Chapter 21 <br />• Sec. 21-5: Deletes the director's authority to grant a variance/exemption to the sewer <br />connection requirement, to conform with the State Department of Health's sewer <br />connection requirement <br />• Article 5, Sewer Connection Loan Program (Secs. 21-37 to 21-45): Deletes this loan <br />program, which has never been created <br />Comm.
