COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />776 20 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF <br />TEN (10) MINI BUSES FROM THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the City and County of Honolulu Department of Transportation <br />Services is donating ten (10) retired mini buses to the County of Hawai`iIs Mass Transit <br />Agency; and <br />WHEREAS, the buses will be used to provide island -wide public transportation <br />within the County of Hawaii; and <br />WHEREAS, the estimated value of this donation is $50,000; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br />that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br />securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and <br />Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts <br />or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br />capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution <br />approved by the Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i's Mass Transit Agency recommends the <br />acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter <br />2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of <br />Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
