��Yosy <br /> \, 4 <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI`I STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 780 20 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO NO NA OPIO TO <br /> PURCHASE EQUIPMENT FOR NA HOA 0 PUNA SOCCER'S NA HOA CUP. <br /> WHEREAS,No Na Opio is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to support the <br /> children of East Hawai`i by offering opportunities to engage in physical, spiritual, and cognitive <br /> development through participation in recreational and cultural practices; and <br /> WHEREAS,No Na Opio is partnering with Na Hoa 0 Puna Soccer to host its Na Hoa <br /> Cup, an island-wide annual soccer tournament for children ages 6 to 14, which will be held on <br /> December 12-13, 2020 at Buddy Perry Soccer Fields in Kea'au, Hawai`i; and <br /> WHEREAS,Na Hoa Cup is a drug-free and alcohol-free community event that <br /> encourages healthy activities, well-being, teamwork, and leadership opportunities for children <br /> while engaging adult volunteers as coaches and support staff; and <br /> WHEREAS,No Na Opio is requesting funding to assist in purchasing new goals, nets, <br /> and uniforms for the Na Hoa Cup; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports drug-free and alcohol-free <br /> programs that enrich the lives of community members and enhance the well-being of Hawai`i <br /> Island residents; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to No Na Opio to purchase equipment for Na Hoa 0 Puna <br /> Soccer's Na Hoa Cup. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
