COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAPI <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1720 <br />A A 0 <br />a Ma F±ATITEI 9 1 a 1 1-4 Zam 0 1• <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Greg Meyers is donating one (1) used electric wheelchair to <br />the Hawaii Fire Department; and <br />WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the County of Hawaii Fire <br />Department's Emergency Medical Services Bureau; and <br />WHEREAS, Article X111, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter <br />provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of <br />money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real <br />estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code <br />states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall <br />within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted <br />by resolution approved by the Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this <br />donation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br />accordance with Article X111, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br />Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of <br />the County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
