She is actively involved as Executive Assistant/ Executive Board <br /> Member for Strong Angel 1, 11 and 111, a global civil-military resource for humanitarian relief in <br /> times of disaster. Ms. Mathews is member of the Hawai'i Island Workforce Investment Board <br /> and served in numerous capacities with the Hawai'i Community Loan Fund from 1994 - 2004. <br /> Ms. Mathews graduated from Hawai'i Preparatory Academy, Western Curia Management <br /> School, and holds a master's degree in Community Development from Thomas Edison State <br /> College.
