The funds will be used to pay for the voucher
subsidies related to the Foster Youth to Independence Initiative and to cover the program's
operating expenses.
Housing Administrator Susan Kunz, Office of Housing and Community Development(OHCD),
was present and explained that her office is partnering with Department of Human Services to
administer the voucher program, noting that the funding will allow OHCD to support 25 youth per
year for the next three years. Council Member Ashley L. Kierkiewicz had questions regarding
allocation of funds and the geographic distribution of the vouchers.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 23-21,
and recommends its adoption.
dsb
AYES NOES ABS EX Respectfully submitted,
CHUNG x
DAVID x COMMITTEE ON FINANCE
INABA X
KANEALI`I-KLEINFELDER X
KIERKIEWICZ X
KIMBALL X MATT KANEALI'IWLEINFELDER,
LEE LOY x CHAIR
RICHARDS X FC REPORT NO.: 5
VILLEGAS X ADOPTED: JAN 2 0 2o2i
