These funds will be used to assist with rent, utilities, and other defined housing expenses <br /> for eligible Hawaii County households with respect to the coronavirus (COVID-19)pandemic, <br /> Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed is a bill <br /> for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating an Emergency Rental <br /> Assistance Program COVID-19 grant in the amount of$30,000,000. 4 <br /> I <br /> The Office or Housing and Community Development requests that a breach be authorized to <br /> submit this bill after the December 30, 2020 submission deadline, and to waive it from the Finance <br /> Committee in order to be placed on the January 20, 2021 Council agenda to expedite the receipt of <br /> these funds.
