Keohokapu-Lee Loy, Council Memb <br /> Council District 3 <br /> SUBJECT: Attendance and Discussions with Kamehameha Schools on Hawaii County <br /> District Priorities, January 8, 2021 <br /> In accordance with Hawaii Revised Statutes 92-2.5(e), I am reporting the attendance of myself, <br /> Council Members Ashley Kierkiewicz, Holeka Inaba, Tim Richards, and Rebecca Villegas at the <br /> above-referenced virtual meeting. Council Member Villegas left the meeting after giving basic <br /> introductions. <br /> The goal of the meeting was for Kamehameha Schools to share relevant priorities, and <br /> educational and `aina-based strategies across Hawaii Island, and an opportunity for <br /> collaboration. The discussion did not cover any specific pending agenda item. <br /> Hawaii Revised Statues §92-2.5(e) states that two or more members of a board, but less than <br /> quorum,may attend an informational meeting or presentation on matters relating to official <br /> board business, including a meeting or another entity, legislative hearing, convention, seminar, <br /> or community meeting; provided that the meeting or presentation is not specifically and <br /> exclusively organized for or directed toward members of the board. The section further provides <br /> that at the next duly notice meeting of the board, the board members shall report their attendance <br /> and the matters presented and discussed. <br /> Please place this communication on the agenda of the next available meeting of the Council. <br /> Comm.
