I leave it for you to determine if this report is necessary <br /> as Council Member Lee Loy attempted to log on but never successfully joined the meeting. <br /> However, her profile did show up as a participant and so I am submitting this report to maintain <br /> the utmost level of transparency. <br /> The Vibrant Hawaii CEDS Action Plan meeting was held to determine sub-group leads and <br /> members to focus on sectors for economic development in our County that were identified as <br /> priorities by the Vibrant Hawaii community. The initial portion of the meeting was used to <br /> describe the action planning process and then members were separated into breakout groups to <br /> convene discussions around their area of interest. The Council Members above did not <br /> participate in the same break out groups. <br /> HRS Section 92-2.5(e) provides that two or more members of a board, but less than a quorum, <br /> may attend an informational meeting or presentation on matters relating to official board business, <br /> including a meeting of another entity, legislative hearing, convention, seminar, or community <br /> meeting; provided that the meeting or presentation is not specifically and exclusively organized <br /> for or directed toward members of the board. The section further provides that at the next duly <br /> noticed meeting of the board, the board members shall report their attendance and the matters <br /> presented and discussed that related to official board business. <br /> Please place this communication on the next available council agenda.
