Roth, dated December 22, 2020, <br /> submitting for the Council's review and confirmation the nomination of George R. "Rick" <br /> Robinson of Council District 6 to the Police Commission. <br /> Executive Assistant Pomaika`i Bartolome was present at Council Chambers in Hilo and <br /> introduced the nominee who appeared via zoom. <br /> Several Council Members commented in favor of the nominee's appointment. Chair Inaba stated <br /> that the nominee would not have to appear at Council for confirmation. <br /> Pursuant to Sections 7-2.2 and 13-4 of the Hawaii County Charter, members of the Police <br /> Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by Council. <br /> Your Committee on Parks and Recreation and Public Safety is in accord with the purpose and intent <br /> of Communication No. 68 and recommends confirmation of the appointment of George R.
