REQUEST: <br /> A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into agreements with the US Department of Commerce Economic <br /> Development Administration to accept grant funds, And an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 20-45, the <br /> operating budget for the County of Hawaii for FY20-21 to appropriate the following revenues: <br /> I <br /> 010.NEW Federal - EDA Economic Adjustment Assistance Disaster Recovery Program $2,251,163 <br /> And to appropriate the following expenditures: <br /> 010.671.5671.NEW Federal - EDA Economic Adj Assistance Disaster Recovery Program $2,251,163 <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Department has been awarded a grant from the US Department of Commerce Economic Development <br /> Administration (EDA) for a Puna Wastewater Statement. The grant will be used to conduct a <br /> Comprehensive Programmatic Environmental Impact Study. <br /> This request is to accept the funds and to amend the operating budget for FY20-21 in order to receive and <br /> expend these grant funds. <br /> The Department is also anticipating another grant award from the EDA for a North Kona Sewage Pump <br /> Station and Force Main project, <br /> The I. DA requires the grant agreements to be executed within 30 days of award.
