REQUEST: <br /> To enter into a multi-year maintenance agreement(vendor to be determined)for five (5)years for the <br /> maintenance of(33)Automatic Electronic Defibrillators(AED)and(12) onsite AEDs. This will be the final <br /> multi-year mainenance agreement as the current AEDs will be at end of life in 2026. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED; <br /> The(33)AEDs donated by the Hilo Medical Center Foundation and the(12) onsite AEDs purchased for use <br /> by the Hawaii Police Department require annual maintenance which includes periodic inspections, inventory <br /> tracking, replacement of batteries/pads, periodic testing and documentation of data, debriefing and data <br /> download after AED use and refresher/re-certification training. <br /> The department is anticipating an estimated cost for this maintenance agreement is approximately <br /> $210/unit/year.
