COUNTY OF' :FIAMIA:[1I •: :• STATE OF F[AWAI`I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 66 121� <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHir-J'AZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br /> DONATION OF A IBIRON�E STATUE OF A MYTHOLOGICAL <br /> F[SHERMAN TO THE (C-70 LINTY OF HAWAI'I. <br /> WHEREAS, Henry Bianchini is a local sculptor and craftsman who was <br /> commissioned for the sculpture of ring David Kalakaua that sits at Kalakaua Park in <br /> downtown filo; and <br /> WHEREAS, Henri Bianclini would like to donate a bronze statue of a mythological <br /> fisherman (Exhibit A) with a total value of$10,000 to the County of Hawaii, Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, this bronze statue will be placed at Lili`uokalani Gardens; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the <br /> Council, on behalf of the County, may accept i7ifts of donations of money, securities or other <br /> personal property or of reap estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section <br /> 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or <br /> personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, <br /> m?ty be accepted by resolution ap proved by th,:, Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 0� the Hawaii County Ci�arter, and Chapter 2, <br />
