Roth, dated February 19, 2021, <br /> submits for the Council's review and confirmation the nomination of Michael Bell to the Water <br /> Board. A motion to move Communication No. 164,to full Council with a positive <br /> recommendation was made by Council Member Susan Lee Loy; seconded by Council Member <br /> Heather Kimball. <br /> Introduced by Pomaika`i Bartolome, Executive Assistant to Mayor Mitch Roth, Michael Bell is a <br /> lifelong resident of Hawai`i County and is the General Manager of Body Glove Cruises. He is <br /> active in the community serving on Visitor Aloha Society of Hawai`i (VASH), the Sustainable <br /> Tourism Association of Hawai`i and the Kailua Village Business Improvement District. If <br /> confirmed, Mr. Bell would serve a term ending December 31, 2025. <br /> Nominee Bell addressed Your Committee with appreciation and desire to give back to the <br /> community through local government. Council Members thanked nominee Bell for his <br /> willingness to serve,yet outlined the deep commitment, broad mission and tasks, and dedicated <br /> time required to be on the Water Board.
