Kosaki of District 3 for appointment to the Fire <br /> Commission. <br /> Mr. Kosaki retired as Battalion Chief in 2018 from the Hawai`i Fire Department after 29 years of <br /> dedicated service. He has received numerous awards and commendations throughout his <br /> exemplary career, including the Recognition Award for Meritorious Service—County of Hawai`i <br /> Council in 2019. Mr. Kosaki is the current Safety Director at Hawaiian Earth Recycling and a <br /> Lifeguard at Kamehameha Schools, developing a certified Emergency Medical Response <br /> training facility there. <br /> Mr. Kasaki is committed to remaining active and involved and volunteers his time and <br /> experience to numerous civic and educational organizations, andeas an avid tennis player, he has <br /> served as past President of both Hilo Junior Tennis Club and East Hawaii District Tennis <br /> Association.
