COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95 21 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION <br />OF SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS AIR <br />COMPRESSOR FROM THE STATE OF HAWAII TO THE COUNTY OF <br />HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation, Airports <br />Division is donating one (1) self-contained breathing apparatus air compressor to the <br />Hawaii Fire Department; and <br />WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the County of Hawaii Fire <br />Department to fill air tanks at the Waiakea Fire Station; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter <br />provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of <br />money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real <br />estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code <br />states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall <br />within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted <br />by resolution approved by the Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this <br />donation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br />Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of <br />the County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
