No. 180/Bill No. 29 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:00 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 29, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 29, transmitted jointly with Resolution Number 77-21 by Director of Finance Deanna Sako via <br /> Communication No. 180 dated March 17, 2021, amends Ordinance No. 20-45, as amended, the <br /> Operating Budget for the County of Hawai'i for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2021. <br /> This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal—Block Grant account ($2,699,374) and the Block Grant— <br /> Program Income account ($100,000); and appropriates the same to the following accounts: Ulu Wini <br /> Low Income Housing Wastewater Treatment Plant—Repairs ($1,420,889); Ulu Wini Low Income <br /> Housing Certified Kitchen— Conversion ($495,500); Hale `Ohana Domestic Abuse Shelter - Interior & <br /> Exterior Renovations ($225,760); West Hawai`i Domestic Abuse Shelter—Interior & Exterior <br /> Renovations ($157,225); and Administration, Planning & Fair Housing ($500,000). <br /> The appropriations are further described in Resolution 77-21, which adopts the County of Hawai`i <br /> Action Plan as required by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development for the <br /> expenditure of Federal funding received by the County for low-income housing assistance programs. <br /> The 2021 Action Plan describes the projects and activities that will be executed by the County to <br /> provide decent housing, suitable and safe living environments, and accessibility for disabled individuals <br /> to public facilities using the County's share of Community Development Block Grant program funds. <br /> There was no discussion on this matter. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 29, and recommends its <br /> passage on first reading. <br /> sc <br /> AYES NOES ABS EX Respectfully submitted, <br /> CHUNG X <br /> DAVID x COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> INABA X <br /> KANEALI`I-KLEINFELDER X <br /> KIERKIEWICZ X <br /> KIMBALL x MATT KANEALI - FELDER, CHAIR <br /> LEE LOY X • <br /> RICHARDS X FC REPORT NO.: 30 <br /> VILLEGAS X ADOPTED: APR 2 1 2021 <br />
