REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> DATE: April 20, 2021 Re: Comm.No. 195/Bill No. 30 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 10:30 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 30,reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 30,transmitted by Director of Finance Deanna Sako,via Communication No. 195 dated <br /> April 1, 2021, adopts a pay plan for persons employed by the County other than those whose pay is <br /> otherwise provided for, designates payroll periods,pay days,prescribes requirements with respect to <br /> official fidelity bonds, and repeals Ordinance No. 20-40 and all amendments thereto, said Ordinance to <br /> be known as the Salary Ordinance of 2021. <br /> This bill establishes rates of compensation for appointed employees in the Legislative Branch and the <br /> Office of Housing and Community Development,the County Physician, Student Helpers, and Senior <br /> Community Services Aids for various County agencies. <br /> Council Member Holeka Inaba asks Director of Department of Human Resources William Brilhante to <br /> share his mana`o regarding this resolution.
