Should the amendment <br /> request be approved, the Applicant will comply with the requirements of the Department <br /> of Water Supply (DWS)that includes: <br /> 1. Providing estimated maximum daily water usage calculations,prepared by a Hawaii- <br /> licensed engineer, for review and approval by DWS; <br /> 2. Upon determination by DWS of the required water commitment deposit amount and <br /> prevailing facilities charges,remit these payments typically within 6 months from the <br /> date of approval of the amendment request, but no later than the filing of an <br /> application for Plan Approval of the proposed retail facility; <br /> 3. Install a reduced pressure-type backflow prevention assembly at a location meeting <br /> with the approval of DWS prior to the issuance of a certificate of occupancy for the <br /> proposed retail facility; and <br /> 4. Coordinate with the Fire Department during the design of the proposed retail facility <br /> to ensure that appropriate fire protection measures are provided to compensate for the <br /> lack of a fire hydrant in the immediate area and the inability of the water system to <br /> support the installation of a new hydrant. <br /> Department of Public Works (memo dated February 9, 2021) <br /> During design and permitting processes associated with the development of a retail <br /> facility on the subject property,the Applicant will secure the necessary permit to perform <br /> work within the Kinoole Street right-of-way in order to install a new driveway to the <br /> subject property, as required by Chapter 22, Article 4 (County Streets) of the Hawai`i <br /> County Code. <br /> A drainage report will be prepared by a Hawaii-licensed civil engineer as part of <br /> construction drawings to be prepared for the proposed retail facility, in satisfaction of the <br /> requirements of Chapter 10 (Erosion and Sedimentation Control) of the Hawai`i County <br /> Code. <br /> We hope that we have adequately responded to the respective agencies.
