�JMtYfOF H��1 •4 %lips, COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII frE�Oi RESOLUTION NO. :116 21 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO KAPOLEI 3 FOURSQUARE CHURCH TO PURCHASE ESSENTIAL BASKETS FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. WHEREAS, Kapolei 3 Foursquare Church, a subordinate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of The International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, aids victims of domestic violence through support groups and services within Council District 9 on Hawaii Island; and WHEREAS, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused severe economic strain and hardship on families, and additionally concerning for those who are victims of domestic violence; and WHEREAS, Kapolei 3 Foursquare Church is collaborating with the North Hawaii Domestic Violence Advocacy Committee to provide essential baskets to those victims of domestic violence during the COVID-19 pandemic; and WHEREAS, Kapolei 3 Foursquare Church has requested financial assistance for essential baskets to purchase various household, personal and feminine products for distribution to victims of domestic violence within Council District 9; and WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports domestic violence prevention and intervention initiatives to improve the quality of life for Hawaii Island residents; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to Kapolei 3 Foursquare Church for essential baskets for victims of domestic violence during the COVID-19 pandemic. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
