REQUEST: <br /> To accept and acknowledge a donation of seven Uniform Plumbing Code 2018 Code Books and seven 2018 <br /> Illustrated Training Manuals from the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials <br /> (IAPMO). <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The State Building Code Council adopted the 2018 Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) in May of 2020. The <br /> International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) publishes the UPC and the <br /> published date of the 2018 edition was January 2018. Per HRS 107-28 the County will be required to adopt <br /> this code in January of 2022. <br /> IAPMO has generously donated to the Department of Public Works, Building Division, Plumbing section with <br /> the code books and training manuals to support the education needed to enforce the forthcoming plumbing <br /> code.
