Brief history of the applicant organization. <br /> Include the date of incorporation as a non-profit <br /> organization (use attachments where appropriate): <br /> The Cave Conservancy of Hawaii was founded in 2002. <br /> Its stated purposes are to manage caves for scientific <br /> study, education of those persons interested in <br /> speleology, and conservation/preservation of the <br /> underground resources. CCH has acquired 11 properties <br /> protecting 81 acres over significant lava tubes, one of <br /> which was supported by a Legacy Land Grant. CCH has also <br /> supported biological, mineralogical and archeological <br /> studies in its lava tubes. <br /> B. Main source(s) of financial support: <br /> Member Donations are the source of CCH finances. <br /> For one property purchase CCH applied for and received <br /> a grant from the Legacy Land Grant fund. <br /> C.
