gY OF }p <br />O <br />L• •" - �tyilirCOUNTY OF HAWAIII <br />WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br />organization whose mission is to increase the number of successful community projects that <br />benefit North Kohala; and <br />WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center, in partnership with <br />community groups offering food assistance due to the COVID-19 pandemic, provides locally <br />grown produce and proteins to approximately 250 families in the North Kohala community each <br />month; and <br />WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center seeks reimbursement of <br />expenses relating to its Feed Kohala program; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations and programs that <br />promote the health, safety, and welfare of the community; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br />Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br />resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br />activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Department of <br />Liquor Control to provide a grant to North Kohala Community Resource Center for a <br />reimbursement of expenses relating to its Feed Kohala program. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
