COUNTY OF HAWAIII STATE OF HAWAFT <br />RESOLUTION NO. JL54 21 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br />DONATION OF A ONE -METER DIVING STAND AND DIVING BOARD <br />TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAIJ DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br />RECREATION. <br />WHEREAS, Hawaii HI -Diving Friends is donating a one -meter diving stand and <br />diving board to the County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, the one -meter diving stand and diving board, valued at approximately <br />$14,750, will be located at the Charles "Sparky" Kawamoto Swim Stadium; and <br />WHEREAS, Article X111, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br />council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br />personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this <br />donation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I,, in <br />accordance with Article X111, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br />Hawai'i, accepts this donation. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br />resolution be sent to Hawaii HI -Diving Friends, 196 Ho'onanea Street, Hilo, HI 96720. <br />
