BACKGROUND ND ,SND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDEC3 <br /> i <br /> The Friends of Pana'ewa Zoo, a non-profit 1(c){3)organization entered into a Friends of thePana'ewa <br /> Zoo agreement with the Department of Parks and Recreation primarily to help promote Pana'ewa Rainforest <br /> Zoo and Gardens and to contribute to the well-being of the resident animals. <br /> The Friends of Pana'ewa Zoo would like to timate a 'Alala (Hawaiian Crow) enclosure valued at <br /> $143,409.04. Council action is being requested to accept and acknowledge a donation of the"Alala <br /> enclosure.
