X418-kil <br />RESOLUTION CREATING ONE (1) NEW TEMPORARY <br />POSITION FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF RESEARCH ANI19 <br />11EVELOPMENT <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii was awarded federal funding from <br />the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant <br />Secretary to implement the "Kuleana Health" program; and <br />WHEREAS, the creation of one (1) new, temporary position is <br />needed to support this program; and <br />WHEREAS, the position indicated above is an Economic <br />Development Specialist III (Temp) that will be funded through the Advancing <br />Health Literacy to Enhance Equitable Community Response to COVID-19 <br />170= <br />WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawaii County Charter <br />states that the Mayor has the power to "Create positions... for which <br />appropriations have been made by the council..."; now, therefore, <br />I <br />HAWAII that one (1) Economic Development Specialist III (Temp) position <br />be created in the Department of Research and Development. <br />
