REQUEST: <br /> Request to have Resolution No. 16 20, adopted by Council on 1212312020, to be amended. Resolution <br /> currently states the County of Hawaii wishes to enter a three (3) year agreeement for the purchase of <br /> Nutanix hardware and software. Requesting this be amended to a (5) year term agreement. <br /> In order to expedite this, we are requesting to waive the Finance committee and be placed on the July 27, <br /> 2021 Council agenda. We are in the final stages of creating an RFP and require this amendment in order to <br /> complete. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> Nutanix hardware and software have a warranty and life service of 5+ years. The vendor will be held by <br /> contract to provide maintenance & support on the hardware and software purchased for this term. Original <br /> resolution was submitted under the notation that Information Technology would be in a 3-year lease with a <br /> financial establishment. It did not take into account the term life of the hardware and the warranty service <br /> the vendor would provide under contract with this purchase.
