No. 332/Bill No. 58 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 9:30 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No. 58, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 58, submitted by Mayor Mitchell D. Roth dated June 30, 2021, to amend Section 25-8- <br /> 33 (City of Hilo Zone Map), Article 8, Chapter 25 (Zoning) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 <br /> (2016 Edition, as amended), by changing the district classification from Single Family <br /> Residential— 10,000 square feet (RS-10) to General Commercial—7,500 square feet(CG-7.5) at <br /> Waidkea, South Hilo, Hawaii, covered by Tax Map Key: 2-2-024:022. The applicants are <br /> John Wagner and Charlene Iboshi. The Windward Planning Commission forwards a favorable <br /> recommendation on this request. <br /> Mr. Tom Yeh was present in the Hilo Council Chambers to represent the applicants, <br /> John Wagner and Charlene Iboshi. Mr. Yeh explained that changing the district classification <br /> to General Commercial will formalize the current commercial use of the property.
