REQUEST: <br /> To appropriate an additional $1,327,797.00 for the Area Flan on Aging OCE under account number <br /> 010.411.5411.10.115 and revenue account number 3301.04 (Federal Grants) <br /> S. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS DEEDED): <br /> Office of Aging received funding under the American Rescue Flan Act of 2021 through the State Executive <br /> Office on Aging in the amount of$1,327,797.00. In order to expend these funds it is necessary to increase <br /> our appropriation. <br /> Pursuant to the guidance of the State Executive Office on Aging, these funds shall be used exclusively to carry <br /> out the services and supports outlined in the Older Americans Act of 1905 with a focus on alleviating the <br /> effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on seniors. Services related to disaster relief such as expanding nutrition <br /> programs; shifting healthy aging programs to electronic formats and modifiying transportation services will <br /> remain a priority of our office.
