No. 181-21 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 12:23 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 181-21, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 181-21, transmitted by Director of Finance Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 350, <br /> dated July 30, 2021, authorizes the acceptance of a donation of used equipment for use by the Hawaii <br /> Fire Department. <br /> The donation, provided by the Honolulu Fire Department, is valued at approximately $51,189. <br /> Committee Member Susan L.K. Lee Loy expressed thanks to Honolulu Fire Department Acting Chief <br /> Lionel Camara, Jr., for the donation. <br /> Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder echoed Ms. Lee Loy's gratitude and emphasized the <br /> Hawaii Fire Department's need for the equipment. <br /> Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter,the Council may accept gifts of donations of <br /> money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate.
