Sako via Communication No. 354, <br /> dated July 30, 2021, authorizes the acceptance of a donation of labor and materials to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation. <br /> The donation from Kona Aquatics is valued at approximately $10,000 and would be used at the Kona <br /> Community Aquatic Center. <br /> Committee Members Rebecca Villegas and H61eka Goro Inaba both provided comments expressing <br /> gratitude to Kona Aquatics for the donation and to the Department of Parks and Recreation for working <br /> with the community to fill gaps of need. <br /> Department of Parks &Recreation Deputy Director Michelle M. Hiraishi echoed Ms. Villegas' and <br /> Mr. Inaba's comments in gratitude for the donation. <br /> Pursuant to Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council may accept gifts of donations of <br /> money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate.
