She recognizes the rich <br /> history, culture, and resources of the district, and is ready to step into her kuleana to actively <br /> participate and contribute to the betterment of the community. She holds a bachelor's degree in <br /> Hawaiian studies from UH Hilo and is the Director of Operations for Ku A Kanaka and co-host <br /> of the Ka Leo O ka Uluau podcast. <br /> Leilani is a strong communicator and organizer and an avid community volunteer, currently <br /> dedicating time and energy to Project Hawaii, Honua Ola Place-Based Learning and Na Wa`a <br /> Mauo.
