Of <br /> COUNTY <br /> �•��- ,i�t?. <br /> i I ° °* STATE OF HAWAII <br /> 1Tfi ryf•xA.pP� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br /> DONATION OF A LIVE FIND TRACKING K9 WITH K9 AND <br /> HANDLER TRAINING TO THE COUNTY OF HAWA `I POLICE <br /> DEPARTMENT. <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaii Island K9 Association is donating one (1) Live Find Tracking <br /> K9 with K9 and handler training to the County of Hawaii Police Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Live Find Tracking K9, valued at approximately $16,000 (with <br /> training), will assist emergency responders in tracking missing children and endangered <br /> adults; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Live Find Tracking K9 will be placed with the Hawaii Police <br /> Department's Juvenile Aid Section to replace the present K9 that is due to retire; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br /> council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; now therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, , in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br /> Hawaii, accepts the donation of this Live Find Tracking K9 with K9 and handler training. <br />
