.SMtY:OB�?y. <br /> CIOWNTY OF HAWAIII STATE OF HAWAFI <br /> SOLUTI'I O. <br /> RESOLUTION CREATING TWO (2) NEW FIRE CAPTAIN <br /> THREE (3) NEW FIRE FIGHTER POSITIONS FOR THE <br /> A AVI COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, County of Hawaii was awarded funding from the <br /> Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) under the Staffing for <br /> Adequate Fire and Emergency Response Grant; and <br /> WHEREAS, with the creation of two (2) new Fire Captain and three <br /> (3) new Fire Fighter positions, the department will be better equipped to <br /> provide enhanced services to the public and increase safety within Hawaii <br /> County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the positions indicated above are Fire Captain, SR-25 <br /> and Fire Fighter, SR-17 positions; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawaii County Charter <br /> states that the Mayor has the power to "Create positions...for which <br /> appropriations have been made by the council..."; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br /> HAWAII that two (2) new Fire Captain and three (3) new Fire Fighter <br /> positions be created in the Hawaii County Fire Department. <br />
