REQUEST: i The Office of Housing and Community Development is requesting to amend Ordinance 21-38 by appropriating the following: i Revenue: Emergency Rent Assistance Program COVID-19 (ERA1 PT) 152.3310.XX $6,110,000.00 I Expenditure: 3 Emergency Rent Assistance Program COVID-19 (ERA1 PT) Program 152.461.5466.XX$5,499,000.00 Emergency Rent Assistance Program COVID-19 (ERA1 PT)Admin 152.461.5466.XX $611,000.00 i The appropriation request for$6,110,000.00 represents a pass-thru grant from the State of Hawai'i, Department of Budget and Finance, to provide funding for the Emergency Rent Assistance Program COVID-19 program for eligible households that are financially impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED) 13 The State of Hawaii, Department of Budget and Finance is providing the County of Hawaii through the Office of Housing and Community Development federal funds as appropriated in Section 501, Title V, Subtitle A, of Division N—Additional Coronavirus Response and Relief, P.L. 116-260, to provide funding to support the Emergency Rent Assistance Program COVID-19. The County will use funds to help eligible households.
