Additional federally-derived funds in the <br /> amount of$8,020 are being provided by the State of Hawaii Department of <br /> Transportation to fund operations focused on speed enforcement. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the Hawaii County Police's Speed Enforcement account, bringing <br /> the total appropriation to $254,020. <br /> The Police Department requests that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and <br /> be placed on the November 3, 2021 Council agenda in order to expedite the receipt of <br /> these funds.
