NO. <br /> 1 the climate change mitigation special fund into which shall be <br /> 2 deposited, beginning July 1, 2024: <br /> 3 (1) All fees collected' pursuant to section 171-A; <br /> 4 (2) Appropriations made by the legislature for deposit <br /> 5 into the special fund; and <br /> 6 (3) Donations and contributions made by private <br /> 7 individuals or organizations for deposit into the special fund. <br /> 8 (b) Moneys in the climate change mitigation special fund <br /> 9 shall be used by the department for: <br /> 10 (1) Climate change mitigation; <br /> 11 (2) Environmental management and planning; <br /> 12 (3) Environmental conservation; <br /> 13 (4) Management and protection of natural resources and <br /> 14 ecosystems; <br /> 15 (5) Environmental awareness and education; and <br /> 16 (6) Sustainable tourism practices. " <br /> 17 SECTION 3. In codifying the new sections added by section, 2 <br /> 18 of this Act, the revisor of statutes shall substitute appropriate <br /> 19 section numbers for the letters used in designating the new <br /> 20 sections in this Act. <br /> 21 SECTION 4 . New statutory material is underscored. <br /> 22 SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050 . <br /> 23 <br />
