These grant funds will be used <br /> towards the economic recovery efforts that are needed due to the effects of the <br /> coronavirus pandemic. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed <br /> is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $500,000 <br /> to the Department of Research and Development's FY 2021 Economic Development <br /> Administration American Rescue Plan Act account. <br /> The Department of Research and Development is requesting that this bill be waived from <br /> Finance Committee and be placed on the December 8, 2021 Council agenda in order to <br /> expedite the receipt of these funds.
