3 <br /> Y"+OF <br /> COUNTY OF G �� i* STATE OF C <br /> E OFNJ I <br /> I <br /> a <br /> I <br /> SOLUTION NO. <br /> 3 <br /> i <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF <br /> COUNTIES' EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SLATE OF OFFICERS. <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii State Association of Counties ("HSAC") Bylaws requires each <br /> County Council to appoint one of its members to serve as an officer of the HSAC Executive <br /> Committee, and to designate an alternate member; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 5 of the HSAC Bylaws requires that, in making the appointment, <br /> each Council shall delegate to its appointees sufficient authority to formulate a proposed slate of <br /> officers and alternates; and <br /> WHEREAS, at its November 23, 2021 meeting, the HSAC Executive Committee <br /> approved its slate of officers and alternates; and <br /> WHEREAS, the HSAC Bylaws require each council to act on the slate of officers and <br /> alternates proposed by the HSAC Executive Committee; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> HSAC Executive Committee officers are approved as follows to serve the remainder of the <br /> current term: <br /> President: Mason K. Chock, Kauai County Council <br /> Bernard P. Carvalho, Jr. (Alternate) <br /> Vice-President: Kelly Takaya King, Maui County Council <br /> Tamara Paltin(Alternate) <br /> Secretary: Heather Kimball, Hawaii County Council <br /> Rebecca Villegas (Alternate) <br /> Treasurer: Tommy Waters, Honolulu City Council <br /> Andria Tupola(Alternate). <br />
