ovornber 23, 2021, HSAC Meeting Agenda Ip'age 1 7 �yinvEA_0-CUU . <br /> passed out of GORED committee, will be heard by full <br /> council on December 8. <br /> Maui .Full council will review on agenda 11119121, CC <br /> 21:528 Resolution to approve the HSAC package for <br /> approval. <br /> Honolulu December 1, 2021 - Full council, <br /> o Working with the Treasurers team to reconcile the QB and bring it up to <br /> date in order to proceed with filing the Form 990 taxes. <br /> o Also working on getting debit cards for members (except for Secretary <br /> who has declined one) - that way they can be used for upcoming <br /> conferences and to update the online software - such as g-suite, zoom, <br /> and squarespace. <br /> • Update on website <br /> o Add to agenda - link on website to post legislative bills - will be the <br /> direct link from the state of hawaii capitol website, so it will update and <br /> be live every time anyone clicks on it to access. <br /> • Update on legislative priorities <br /> o President Chock and myself met with Jon to discuss the approach of <br /> how HSAC would take action on HSAC bills and priorities. <br /> o Legislative Priorities (Existing bills HSAC is in support of) <br /> o Includes topics put forward by individual councils, discussed and <br /> approved by the HSAC EC. <br /> o Bills introduced at the State legislature are screened by the HSAC <br /> lobbyist and those pertaining to the priorities are put into a tracking <br /> sheet and shared with the HSAC members. <br /> o The HSAC legislative priorities are then monitored throughout session <br /> and when recommended by the HSAC lobbyist, testimony is submitted <br /> through the process shown below. <br /> o Priorities may only be added during the legislative session. <br /> o Priorities added during session must be related to home rule or <br /> increased revenues for the counties. <br /> o During the second half of the Legislature's biennium that the prior <br /> year's HSAC Legislative Package will continue to be a priority and <br /> testimony will be submitted when hearings are scheduled. <br /> • Update on legislative packet <br /> o For HSAC bills - the tracking sheet will be posted on the website and <br /> emailed out to members. <br />
